Lately I’ve been shopping around for a replacement for my old worn out laptop bag. I was thinking about investing in something a little fancier, but realized that would be dumb and just went and got the most functional bag possible. I went into MEC for the first time in a while and was reminded that their stuff is awesome.

I picked up the Darwin 2 Daypack. It has all the usual good things about a backpack, but since it is made for commuting it also a few things that make it a bit more unique. Pictured above is the helmet holder it has that zips away when not in use. It also has a nice rain hood which tucks away nicely, and will keep my computer stuff dry.

Also has a nice side zip for the main compartment, with perfect sized laptop pocket.

I basically like this bag because it’s pretty technical while still looking pretty minimal. Everything hides away nicely and looks really simple, and the branding isn’t obnoxious.
